The Ursodeoxycholic Response Score (URS) predicts of the likelihood of someone responding to Ursodeoxycholic (UDCA).  It is designed for use in patients presenting with PBC before they commence treatment with UDCA.

To use the URS, enter the laboratory test measurements and upper limits of normal (ULN) for the total bilirubin, alanine transaminase or aspartate transaminase (TA), and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) from the time of diagnosis; the laboratory test measurement and ULN for ALP at UDCA start; the patient age (years); and the interval from diagnosis to UDCA start (years).  The URS can be calculated for the following thresholds: ALP>=1xULN, ALP>=1.5xULN, ALP>=1.67xULN and ALP>=2xULN.
